SAPORI A COLORI (“COLORFUL FLAVORS), THE HISTORY OF PAOLO PALUMBO

Today we want to tell you Paolo’s story.
Paolo Palumbo is a boy who had the dream of becoming a Chef, but with only 17 years old, he has been diagnosed with SLA, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a disease that paralyzed his arms.
But Paolo has not surrendered and he continues to carry on his passion for cooking, thanks to the support of his brother Rosario, who makes recipes according to his indications. Paolo, in collaboration with the Chef Luigi Pomata, has realized “Sapori a Colori” (“Colorful Flavors”), a book of recipes for those who are suffering from dysphagia, but not only to them. A journey through a series of recipes, which makes it a really special cooking book. For the first time, actually, the dishes are designed and created specifically for all those who can’t naturally feed and have to use homogenized or a gastric tube to eat. A recipe book, therefore, with very agile reading, but that helps daily, especially those who have lost – despite that – the habit of food taste and the pleasure of eating in a table.
The entire proceeds from the sale of the book will be devolving for SLA research.
